Make Boston.com your home page

If Boston.com is one of the first Web pages you visit every morning for breaking news, sports, and things to do, then we’d like to invite you to make Boston.com your homepage – that is, the page that first appears when you visit the Internet through such browsers as Internet Explorer, Netscape, or America Online.


Internet Explorer 3.0 series
1. Go to
Boston.com.
2. Click on "View" at the top of the page. In the drop-down menu, click on "Options."
3. Next click on "Start and Search Pages" or "Navigation."
4. Check to make sure the box next to "Page" says "Start page."
5. Click on the "Use Current" button.
6. Then click "OK."

1. Go to
Boston.com.
2. Click on "View" at the top of the page. In the drop-down menu, click on "Internet Options."
3. Click on the tab marked "General."
4. Make sure the box next to "Page" reads "Start Page."

3. Click on the tab marked "General."
4. In the top area marked "Home page," click "Use Current."

2. In the menu bar, click on "My AOL."
3. Select "Preferences."
4. Click the "WWW" icon and click the "General" tab.
5. Click the "Use Current Page" button.
6. Click "OK."

Netscape Navigator 3.0 series
1. Click on "Options" at the top of the page. In the drop-down menu, click on "General Preferences."
2. Click on the tab marked "Appearance."
3. In the center of the page, in the box marked "Startup," check the "Home Page Location" option and type http://www.boston.com in the white box.
4. Click "OK."

2. At the top of the page, click on Edit. In the drop-down menu, click on "Preferences."
3. In the "Category" window on the left side, click on "Navigator."
4. In the center of the page, in the box marked "Home page," click on "Use current page."
