Nunzio Modica, a retired longshoreman and local boxing figure, died Thursday at the Star of David Nursing Home in West Roxbury. He was 88.

Katherine F. (Keohane) Masotta of Quincy, a homemaker, died Saturday at Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain. She was 78.

was 'Party Line' call-in host for station WJDA

Roy A. Lind was a good listener. He had to be. As host of the ''Party Line'' daily call-in show WJDA-AM in Quincy he fielded thousands of phone calls from listeners who wanted to talk about property taxes and traffic patterns and whatever else moved them.
