How to Submit Listings to the Globe
The Globe offers free listings to community groups and
organizations in several places in the paper. Please pay
careful attention to the information requested, the deadlines
for submission, and the mailing addresses.
Also,The Globe prints announcements of engagements, weddings and golden anniversaries
in the Sunday Wedding section on a space available basis.

Health & Science (Mondays)

The Health & Science section provides listings for health, environmental and
scientific seminars and workshops, etc. Priority is given
to items of widest general interest, and publication is dependent
on space availability. The mailing address is:
Bulletin Board, Health & Science, The Boston Globe,
P.O. Box 2378, Boston, Mass. 02107-2378. The Health & Science Section also accepts
similar notices for events related to the topic of aging.
Send to: Notes on Aging, Health & Science, same addresss as above.
The same guidelines apply to Notes on Aging.

Calendar Magazine (Thursdays)

The Globe’s Calendar Magazine prints editorial listings on events free
and publishes as many as space permits. The Globe must receive the information
at least 10 days in advance of the publication date. No listings are taken
over the phone, and incomplete or late listings will not be used. Listings
must include name of event, address, telephone number with area code for
publication, date, time, admission or fee (specify if free),
sponsoring group (if nonprofit, include state incorporation number), and
brief description of event. Indicate if event is wheelchair accessible, and
if it’s a benefit, where the proceeds will go. The mailing address is: Calendar,
Boston Globe, P.O. Box 2378, Boston, Mass. 02107-2378 Please note each
Globe Sunday zoned section also publishes listings of local events.
- At Home (Thursdays)

The Globe’s At Home section offers listings of events
such as home shows, antique shows, decorative and home furnishings events.
Send listings at least one week before publication to:
At Home Listings, The Boston Globe, P.O. Box 2378, Boston Mass. 02107-2378.
Listings should include dates, times, admissision fee, if any, and
a daytime phone number for verification.

Sports Plus (Fridays)

The Sports pages on Fridays, under a bannered section called
What’s Happening, provides listings of sports and sports related
events under the title of Things To Do. Mail announcements to:

Free announcements are subject to editing and published as space permits.

Each of the Globe’s six Sunday zoned sections offers
Calendar Listings and Community Bulletin Boards for events
within the specific region covered by each weekly. Calendar
Listings are for events on cultural or arts activities, such as plays,
lectures, concerts or exhibits. Community Bulletin Board listings include
those events that focus on community meetings or hearings, seminars,
workshops, health programs or other special activities. In submitting
your listings, follow the guidelines listed above
or Calendar magazine and then direct your listing to the appropriate
zoned section.
- Living/Arts (Volunteer Opportunities)

The Living/Arts Section of the Globe publishes Volunteer Opportunities,
free listings submitted by local nonprofit organizations who need volunteer
help. State the need clearly for volunteers (e.g., for a specific event
or for needs such as "tutoring for ESL"), the name of your organization,
any specific requirements (e.g., car), whether a stipend is offered for
special help (e.g., hosting students), a contact person, and phone number.

Listings are subject to editing, appear Monday through Friday on a space-available basis, and generally run four to five times.
