Annual holiday programs set

By Globe Staff, 11/30/2001

Annual holiday ceremonies will be held tonight in Framingham and tomorrow in Natick.

Framingham's 10th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will begin at 7 p.m., in front of Town Hall. Girl Scouts, the Salvation Army Tambourines, and the Cameron Middle School chorus will perform music before an appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus (who bear some resemblance to Selectman Charlie Sisitsky and Town Clerk Valerie Mulvey).

Tomorrow, a celebration on the Downtown Common will follow Natick's Downtown Lighting Ceremony. The traditional festivities begin with a visit to the Common by Santa at 3 p.m. The ceremony follows at 4:45 p.m.

Immediately afterward, Natick Center Associates and The Center for the Arts in Natick are sponsoring the inaugural First Light celebration, featuring live performances and food throughout the downtown area, continuing through 10 p.m.
